Modern World Review

Editorial policy

Modern World Review aims to make its reasoning clear and its limits visible. We treat accuracy as an ongoing responsibility: claims should be supportable, wording should fit the evidence, and readers should be able to tell reporting from interpretation.

Accuracy and context

We check factual claims against appropriate sources before publication and take care not to present an inference as a settled fact. We include context needed to understand a subject and avoid overstating what a single example can show. When information is uncertain, disputed or changing, our wording should say so.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to secure a commercial outcome. A partner does not receive control over our coverage or the conclusions in an editorial piece. If a relationship could reasonably matter to a reader's understanding, we make it clear.

Corrections

If you notice an error, contact us with the relevant article and the detail in question. We review correction requests, amend confirmed mistakes and make meaningful changes clear to readers. We may also clarify wording where a passage is accurate but could be misunderstood.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid placements and other partner material are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Illustrations may be generated with AI; when that is the case, they are identified as AI-generated. Images are used to support a story, not as evidence for a claim.

Our point of view

Ideas deserve a second look

We make room for context, distinctions and unanswered questions. The aim is not a final verdict, but a clearer view of how an idea works.
